How to do it

  1. Hold the barcode horizontally

    Line the bars up across the camera view, not diagonally.

  2. Keep it close and sharp

    Barcodes need more detail than QR codes, so move closer and let the camera focus.

  3. Copy the number

    The decoded digits and the barcode format are shown in the results.

Which barcode types are supported?

EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, ITF and Codabar, plus QR, Data Matrix, PDF417 and Aztec.

Can it look up product prices?

It reads the number (usually a GTIN). You can search that number online to find the product.

Is the QRScanner.in scanner free?

Yes. Scanning, generating, styling and tracking are all free on QRScanner.in, with no sign-up needed to scan.

Are my scans private?

Yes. Codes are decoded inside your browser. Images and camera video are never uploaded or stored.
